Erdmut Bramke is one of the artists of the 20th century who made a name for herself for a purely painterly position. In her work, the reduction to color and structures was accompanied by an unusual richness of color and new color nuances. The use of acrylic paints also opened up new areas of color design for her. Flowing and linear structures mix with shaded color gradients. Work stays in France and Italy influenced her palette. Her works are represented in numerous public and private collections, including the Staatsgalerie and the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, the collection of the Robert Bosch Hospital in Stuttgart, the Ulm Museum, the Kunstmuseum Bonn, there also in the Bundeskunsthalle, and the Kunsthalle Kiel.
